Assuming London remains in Tier 2, the requirements in church
are the same as before the second lockdown in terms of hygiene, face covering,
trace & test contact details, social distancing, no congregational singing.
As we are restricted on numbers in church, we are having two shorter carol services
at 6 and 8pm on Sunday 13th (please note earlier than usual), and two ‘midnight’ services
at 10 and 11.30pm on Christmas Eve. At each of these a small number of
the choral scholars or choir will be singing.
We have our Christingle service on Sunday 20th at 4pm when we will be making
our Christingles in household groups and shining light in the darkness.
There will also be the usual two nativity services on Christmas Eve afternoon
at 3.30pm and 5pm. Instead of a live nativity play, we are showing a filmed nativity play
performed by children from the church in advance.
This will also include carols sung by the children and junior choir.
There will be the usual pattern of services on Christmas morning at 8am, 10am and 11.30am.
We are ticketing most of these services, so please go to
www.ticketsource.co.uk/stmarybarnes
to reserve seats (free entry).
We are keeping some places unallocated so that some turning up at a service can be welcomed in, but I hope you will understand that we cannot guarantee you will get in this way.
