Mission in Many Dimensions, Sunday 2 February 11.30am-12.30pm. On this special day of Candlemas, when the baby Jesus was recognised as the ‘light of the world’, we welcome Revd Canon Jay Colwill as our guest preacher. Jay is Canon Missioner at the Cathedral, and is also Director of Mission and Evangelism for the Diocese of Southwark, and is coming to help us think about how we can grow in mission as individuals and as a church family. He will preach at the 10am Parish Eucharist and I hope if you can, you will stay on for an extra hour for a talk and discussion he will lead on ‘Mission in Many Dimensions’. The purpose is to help us live out our faith in the rest of our lives beyond the church building; how St Mary’s can better serve the community of Barnes; and where God might be calling us next as a church family. You will be home in time for lunch and I hope inspired with fresh thinking about living out and sharing God’s love!
