Coronavirus latest church regulations (27th January 2022)
While there are no longer any mandatory regulations imposed on the church, and we are able to offer our full range of services and activities as before, we would continue to advise everyone to take sensible precautions against the virus, and as a church we will maintain various changes as well.
It is no longer mandatory to wear a face covering in church, but please do so if you wish. You may consider self testing before coming to a service, or choose a seat which is a little distant from others. If you have a concern being with a large group of people, please consider one of our smaller Sunday or midweek services; our Sunday services are also available live and recorded on our YouTube channel. And please do not come if you are unwell or have been in contact with those who have tested positive.
For now, Holy Communion will continue with just the distribution of the bread. We are reviewing when will be the right time to reintroduce communion wine. Those preparing and administering Holy Communion will continue to sanitise and wear a face covering. Rather than pass the collection plate around during the service, it and the contactless giving device are available at the entrance. We will continue to exchange the Peace during communion with a friendly gesture, but without handshakes or hugs, unless we know the other person is happy to do so!
