The Fabric Committee support the Rector and churchwardens in their responsibility for the upkeep of the church building, and for implementing all the legislation that relates to use of the building, such as on health and safety

The current hot air blowers in the body of the church have exceeded their design life, and need to be replaced. Our professional advisers recommend replacement with hot water radiators and we have drawn up detailed plans. We are working though the process of finalising plans and obtaining diocesan approval. We aim for the work to be undertaken in early 2011, after we raise the necessary funds.

There are many diverse ways and ideas to raise the rest of the money needed and the more help we have the easier and more fun it will be. If you can help please contact Nick Bryant or click here

Recent major projects have included:

Garden of Remembrance. An expanded Garden provides for interment of cremated ashes for a long time into the future. There is provision for commemorating past members of the church by inscriptions on the new york stone paths

The opportunity was taken to complete the paving of the remaining paths in the churchyard as originally envisaged

Reordering of the Kitson Room. This provides additional office space for our staff and archive space
