St Mary's have a well established senior and junior choir under the direction of a Director of Music and Organist. Children from as young as seven are welcomed into the choir, learning not only to sing and appreciate music but benefit from the self confidence that goes with it. The choir practice every Wednesday apart from a summer break (July & August). Junior choir at 6.30 pm with senior choir at 7.30pm. New members are always welcome. If you are interested please contact: Cameron Burns or the Parish Office Junior Choir There are still vacancies for the Junior - age 7-12yrs. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays from 6.15pm to 7.15pm .Emphasis will placed on developing general musicianship through a combination of singing, games and the Royal School of Church Music Award scheme. A selection of probationers will have the opportunity to shadow members of the senior choir and sing on occasion in services ranging from Choral Evensong to Holy Communion. We also have behind-the-scenes visit planned to New College , Oxford. All this will be a great supplement to any music-making or singing your child already does at school. . St. Mary’s Choir needs YOU! We are currently on a drive to recruit new members and welcome interest from experienced as well as not-so-experienced singers. A wide range of repertoire is planned for the term ahead. Piano/Organ Tuition Cameron Burns is seeking to expand his teaching base and welcomes enquiries from people of all ages and levels.
